CAF Champions League/CAF Confederation Cup/ Enyimba escapes first preliminary contest as Remo may face Moroccan opposition again

As the Confederation of African Football (CAF) released the draw for the 2024/2025 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, Nigeria's representatives have been placed in relatively challenging contests, especially in the second preliminary stage.


For third-placed Enyimba International FC, they have advanced past the first preliminary round and will await the winners of the first preliminary contest in the CAF Confederation Cup.


The draws for the 2024/2025 CAF Inter-Club competitions were conducted on Thursday. Also, second-placed Remo Stars face tough opposition as they were drawn against Moroccan side AS FAR in the first preliminary round.


Champions Rangers International got a relatively easier draw with a match against Comoros champions Zilimadjou.


In the Confederation Cup, 2024 Federation Cup champions El-Kanemi Warriors will travel to the Republic of Benin to face Dadje FC.
