Enyimba announces forwards' injury update

The management of Enyimba International FC announced on Tuesday that its forward, Awaize Ekene, would be out of action for the next two weeks due to an injury sustained during the Matchday 7, 1-0 home win against Kwara United.

The pacy forward, who was not part of the squad in last Sunday's Match Day 8, 1-0 defeat to Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium, is expected to be out of action for the next two weeks due to injury.

The former FC Ifeanyiubah striker will miss the Doma United clash tomorrow and also the Match Day 9 home encounter against league leaders, Lobi Stars this weekend in Aba.

It comes as a significant blow for Awaize, who started the campaign as one of Finidi George's trusted players in the squad as they fight to defend the league title this season.
