Former Super Eagles player Emmanuel Emenike is preparing to open his own hospital in Owerri, Imo State, this coming weekend.
After retiring from professional football in 2015, Emenike, who appeared in 35 matches for the Super Eagles and scored 16 goals, has ventured into various business endeavors.
His latest project involves the establishment of a modern hospital in his hometown of Imo, equipped with advanced medical facilities and staffed by skilled healthcare professionals.
The Emenike Hospital is scheduled to commence operations on May 25th, offering medical services to the local community and beyond.
Despite his successful football career and subsequent wealth, Emenike remains committed to philanthropy and giving back to society.
Recently, Emenike criticized a UK news site for describing Ademola Lookman, who won the Europa League, as an "Everton flop" in a headline.
Emenike expressed disappointment with the headline, emphasizing Lookman's historic achievement and the pride it brings to Nigeria.
He highlighted the lack of recognition for Lookman's accomplishment and called for greater appreciation of Nigerian athletes' successes on the global stage.
