El-Kanemi Warriors FC goalkeeper and captain, George Abine, has expressed his team’s determination to secure all three points when they face Sunshine Stars in an NPFL Matchday 18 fixture at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
Abine, who kept a clean sheet in El-Kanemi’s 3-0 triumph over Abia Warriors last weekend in Maiduguri, stated, “We are fully ready for the match, and our target is to pick up all three points at stake.
It’s going to be a tough match, but I believe we have the quality to beat them.”
The 3-0 win over Abia Warriors has boosted the team’s confidence, and Abine is optimistic that they will build on this momentum against Sunshine Stars.
Currently, El-Kanemi Warriors occupy 5th position on the league table with 26 points from 17 games. They will seek to improve their standing when they clash with Sunshine Stars on Sunday.
The Owena Whales have found it difficult to win games in recent times, but they expect the acquisition of new head coach, Abubakar Bala, to turn the tide in this game.
