In preparation for the upcoming NLO season, Ekiti United FC has released and unveiled their new jersey in Ado Ekiti.
The unveiling ceremony, held at the office of Olusola Osetoba, the state's governor's representative, marked a significant milestone for the team as they gear up for the competition.
The new jerseys, which include home and away kits, as well as training kits, were showcased to the public for the first time. The ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including the team's management, coaches, and players.
Speaking on behalf of the governor, Osetoba expressed the state government's commitment to supporting sports development in Ekiti State.
She pledged the government's support for Ekiti United FC and the growth of football in the state.
"We are proud to support Ekiti United FC, and we believe that this team has the potential to make us proud," Dr. Mrs. Osetoba said. "We charge the players to be good ambassadors of the state and to work towards winning the promotion tickets to the Nigeria National League."
Meanwhile, Ekiti United FC has announced the registration of 27 players for the new season. The players, selected after a rigorous screening process, are expected to be the driving force behind the team's bid for promotion to the NNL.
The team's coach, Salawu Rotimi, expressed confidence in the ability of the registered players to deliver the Division Two tickets for the state. "We have carefully selected these players based on their skills and abilities, and we believe they have what it takes to make us proud," Coach Rotimi said.
Captain Adewale Makanjuola leads the squad of 27 players, which includes goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and attackers. The players are expected to work together to achieve the team's goal of winning the promotion tickets to the NNL.
With the unveiling of the new jersey and the registration of the players, Ekiti United FC is set to make a strong impression in the upcoming NLO season.
