Roma secured their place in the Europa League last 16 with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Porto in the second leg, thanks to a brace from Paulo Dybala. The tie was finely balanced after a 1-1 draw in Portugal, and Porto took an early lead through Spanish forward Samu Aghehowa.
However, Dybala responded with two quick goals to put Roma ahead. Porto's chances suffered a major blow when Stephen Eustaquio was sent off early in the second half, and Niccolo Pisilli added a third for Roma before Devyne Rensch's own goal in stoppage time made it 4-3 on aggregate.
Bodo/Glimt staged an incredible comeback to knock out Twente, winning 5-2 in extra time to progress 6-4 on aggregate. The Norwegian side appeared to be heading for elimination before scoring twice in second-half stoppage time, only for Twente to force extra time with a last-gasp equalizer.
Sondre Brunstad Fet restored Bodo/Glimt's advantage in the 111th minute, and a second own goal from Twente sealed the result, ensuring their progression to the next round.
In the Europa Conference League, AZ Alkmaar comfortably advanced with a 6-3 aggregate victory over Galatasaray, despite conceding a two-goal lead in a 2-2 draw in Turkey. Meanwhile, FCSB secured a 4-1 aggregate win against PAOK following a 2-0 victory in Bucharest.
Real Betis also progressed to the last 16 despite losing 1-0 at home to Gent in the return leg. Barcelona loanee Vitor Roque was sent off before Archie Brown's late goal for Gent, but Betis held on to win 3-1 on aggregate and will face either Chelsea or Vitoria Guimaraes in the next round.
Elsewhere, Copenhagen overcame Heidenheim 4-3 on aggregate after winning 3-1 in extra time in Germany. In an all-Cypriot clash, Pafos defeated Omonia Nicosia 2-1 in the second leg, securing a 3-2 aggregate victory. Meanwhile, Borac Banja Luka narrowly edged Olimpija Ljubljana 1-0 after a goalless second leg in Slovenia, sealing their spot in the next stage.
