Dutch club declines invite for 2023 Flying Eagles' promising player

Dutch club Heerenveen has decided not to offer a contract to former Arsenal prospect Joel Ideho after an unconvincing week-long trial.
The 20-year-old winger became a free agent after leaving Arsenal on July 1 and sought to secure a new club by impressing at Heerenveen.
However, despite playing for twenty minutes in a friendly against Huddersfield Town, Ideho's performances did not meet the club's expectations, leading to the end of the trial.
Heerenveen's general manager, Ferry de Haan, expressed appreciation for Ideho's efforts during his time with the club and wished him success in his future endeavors.
Having progressed through Willem II's youth academy, Ideho made a significant move to Ajax in 2020, which caught Arsenal's attention.
He featured for Arsenal's under-18 and under-23 teams, showcasing his talent. This caught the eye of Nigeria's U20 head coach, Ladan Bosso, who invited Ideho to join the Flying Eagles, Nigeria's U20 national team.
However, despite the invitation, Ideho did not make the final squad for the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup, in which Nigeria reached the quarterfinals.
Interestingly, former Guinean forward Ibrahima Yattara highly regards Ideho's abilities and has recommended the young talent to former Turkish champions, Trabzonspor.
