Dull draw as Crystal Palace and Fulham struggle to find the net at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace and Fulham played out a dull goalless draw at Selhurst Park, with both sides struggling to create clear-cut opportunities. In the first half, Fulham had the better chances, but Palace's goalkeeper Sam Johnstone was equal to the task. He parried Andreas Pereira's angled drive and made a diving save to deny Willian's effort.
Raul Jimenez, yet to score a competitive goal for Fulham since his transfer from Wolverhampton Wanderers, tested Johnstone with a powerful shot after receiving Pereira's long pass.
On the other side, Eberechi Eze posed the most significant threat for Palace, firing a long-range free-kick directly at Bernd Leno and narrowly missing the target with a shot from the edge of the penalty area.
The second half continued in a disjointed fashion, with few clear chances for either team. Willian had a shot from the corner of the six-yard box saved by Johnstone, and late in the game, substitute Jean-Philippe Mateta's effort was comfortably gathered by Leno.
