Doma United FC sacks entire management over season's failure

Posted : 15 August 2024

After its failure in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and subsequent relegation to the second-tier league, the owners of Doma United FC have announced the dissolution of the entire management team.

The owners also announced the dismissal of the technical crew and backroom staff to make way for fresh ideas and growth.

In a statement, the club said: “Doma United FC wishes to announce the dissolution of all current Management, Technical Crew, and Backroom Staff.

“This decision is part of our ongoing commitment to reposition the club toward achieving our objectives.

“The club is actively working behind the scenes to appoint a new Management Team, Technical Crew, and Backroom Staff who share our vision and are fully aligned with the club's goals.

“We are committed to ensuring that the new team will bring fresh energy and expertise as we strive to return to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) next season.

“Training for the upcoming season will officially resume on August 24, 2024. The club will reach out to retained players from last season to communicate their status within the squad.

“Additionally, the club will focus on recruiting only top-quality players who meet our high standards and fit into our long-term plans.

“Please note that screening for potential new players will be conducted strictly by invitation.

“We urge interested players to await further communication from the club.

“Our objective remains clear: to return to the NPFL and restore Doma United FC to its rightful place in Nigerian football,” the club said.
