Dele-Bashiru: Baroni believes in everyone after Lazio's 5-1 win

Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has expressed appreciation for Lazio’s head coach, Marco Baroni, highlighting the manager’s trust in every player within the squad. His remarks came after he ended a frustrating run of seven games without a goal.  


The Nigerian international found the back of the net in Lazio’s commanding 5-1 triumph over Monza at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday. His goal came as a confidence booster, reinforcing his attacking prowess and contribution to the team’s success.  


Coming off the bench, Dele-Bashiru made an immediate impact. He latched onto a well-placed pass down the left flank and, from a difficult angle, fired a powerful left-footed shot into the roof of the net. The goal added the finishing touch to an already dominant display by the home side.  


With three goals in 15 Serie A appearances so far this season, the 24-year-old midfielder will be looking to build on his momentum. His performances will be crucial as Lazio continues its push to secure a top-four spot in the league.  


Dele-Bashiru was introduced in the 65th minute as a substitute for Gustav Isaksen. He made the most of his opportunity, showcasing his attacking instincts and sealing the emphatic victory with a late goal.  


The strike not only helped Lazio maintain their strong position but also provided a much-needed boost to Dele-Bashiru’s confidence after a series of goal-less outings. His ability to step up when needed highlights his importance to Baroni’s tactical setup.  


As Lazio’s campaign progresses, Dele-Bashiru will be keen to maintain his form and deliver more decisive moments for the club. With his talent and determination, he could play a key role in their ambitions for the remainder of the season.
