2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 12: Defending champions, Rangers International FC, condemn Bendel Insurance to relegation waters

It was a thrilling five-goal match that settled the score between the defending league champions, Rangers International FC, and Bendel Insurance, as the home team, the Flying Antelopes, claimed the maximum points.


Bendel Insurance fought the battle of their lives in the ill-fated match, knowing that a loss would push them further into relegation waters.

However, there was no reprieve for the Monday Odigie-tutored side, as the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 12 ended in a 3-2 defeat for them.


It was a nail-biting clash at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, as the Benin Boys sought redemption.


The Flying Antelopes raced to a 2-0 first-half lead with goals from Godwin Obaje and Frank Uwumiro.


However, Bendel Insurance roared back after the break, as Effimi Nsi and Anthony Nnamdi scored to level the game. Uchenna Collins emerged as the hero for Rangers, netting the decisive goal just five minutes from time.
