Davido entertains; Haaland, Saka, James, Rashford, Akpom clinch PFA accolades

Nigerian music sensation, David Adeleke, commonly known as Davido, added his musical touch to the recent Professional Footballers’ Awards, enhancing the event that recognized exceptional performances by English Premier League players during the 2022-23 season. 

Davido took the spotlight, delivering a live rendition of his track "Unavailable" from his newly released Timeless Album, infusing the ceremony with his dynamic and energetic performance. 

This event not only showcased Davido’s musical talent but also honored football stars' accomplishments on the field. 

Notable figures like Erling Haaland, Bukayo Saka, Lauren James, Marcus Rashford, and others graced the occasion, receiving prestigious awards. Among them, Bukayo Saka received the PFA Young Player of the Year award, while Erling Haaland secured the PFA Player of the Year title for his outstanding goal-scoring prowess. 

Marcus Rashford was named Fan’s Player of the Year, and Chuba Akpom, a promising Nigerian striker now with Ajax FC, claimed the PFA Championship Player of the Year award. 

The event left a lasting memory for these accomplished players and their careers, with Davido's electrifying performance adding to the unforgettable essence of the Professional Footballers’ Awards night.
