David De Gea says Manchester United is on the "right track," but it's not enough

By defeating Brighton on penalties in the Sunday semifinal, Erik ten Hag's team secured a spot in the FA Cup final, which will take place against Manchester City on June 3.
After extra time, the game ended scoreless, necessitating the use of penalty kicks to determine the winner. After Solly March missed for Brighton, Victor Lindelof scored the game-winning goal, and De Gea was overjoyed to see his team go to yet another final.
"It was a very tight game we played a very good team. Brighton play really good football. We are now in the final but we have another big game on Thursday so we need to go home and recover," he said.
"They were great penalties. I was prepared as always. I tried to put pressure on the takers. There's still a long way to the final but it will be a big game against one of the best teams in Europe and the world. We showed at home we can beat them so let's hope. We are on the right track. One trophy, another final and fighting for the
top four. It's not enough but it's a big step from last season."
The final will pit Manchester United against rival Manchester City. In the Premier League, the clubs have already faced one another twice this year.
In January, Ten Hag's team triumphed 2-1 at Old Trafford, but in October, they were defeated 6-3 at the Etihad Stadium. After winning the League Cup in February with a victory over Newcastle in the championship game, United will be seeking to complete a domestic cup double. They are also expected to finish in the top four in the Premier League.
