David Beckham offers support to Harry Maguire amidst fan abuse

Maguire has faced jeers and social media abuse for his performances, to the point where his family has stayed away from games. This abuse culminated in a 67th-minute own goal during England's 3-1 win over Scotland last month. Gareth Southgate, England's manager, remarked that he's never seen a player treated the way Maguire has been.
 
In a gesture of solidarity, David Beckham, who himself faced backlash from fans in the past, rang Maguire a few days after the game to offer support. Maguire described this call as meaningful, emphasizing how Beckham had been a role model during his younger years.
