On Wednesday, Daniel Maldini, the son of football legend Paolo Maldini, finalized a loan move from AC Milan to Monza until the conclusion of the season. The 22-year-old had previously been on loan at Empoli during this season, making a substitute appearance in their recent 3-0 home loss to Milan.
Maldini had a loan stint with Spezia last season, notably scoring against AC Milan in a 2-1 defeat in November 2022, marking his first senior career goal in the process.
Although he has yet to score or provide assists in the limited appearances this season, Maldini's move to Monza aligns with the club's solid performance in Serie A since their promotion in 2022, currently occupying the 11th position in the league table.
Monza, managed by Raffaele Palladino, is gearing up for a challenging fixture against Serie A leaders Inter Milan on Saturday. Maldini's loan spells aim to provide him with valuable playing time and experience to further develop his skills in professional football.
