Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze gets selected, Raheem Sterling not in draft for Euro 2024 qualifiers

Raheem Sterling, a forward for Chelsea, was left off Gareth Southgate's roster for England's forthcoming European qualifying matches.
When the Three Lions play Malta and North Macedonia the following month, they will try to keep up their flawless start to qualifying from Group C.
Sterling, meanwhile, is left out following a turbulent and underwhelming season with Chelsea, despite being one of Southgate's go-to players in qualification and at important tournaments for England.
The winger has had many injury setbacks while presiding over three management eras in west London, all the while watching his previous team Manchester City enjoy their third consecutive league triumph.
In his most recent news conference, Southgate addressed Sterling's exclusion, revealing that the 28-year-old conceded he lacked the ideal level of fitness required to represent his nation:
"I spoke with him a week or so ago. A general catch-up," he said.
"He is not happy with his condition physically, carrying a hamstring problem. He wasn't really in consideration. He doesn't think he is operating at the level he needs."
