Crystal Palace stun Manchester United with Andersen's Strike in impressive away victory

Manchester United faced a second consecutive Premier League defeat at home, this time at the hands of Crystal Palace, who secured an impressive victory at Old Trafford courtesy of Joachim Andersen's remarkable strike.
These two teams had squared off just five days earlier in the Carabao Cup, where Erik ten Hag's Manchester United comfortably triumphed 3-0. However, Palace opted to rest several key players during that encounter, and they presented a different challenge on Saturday, showcasing a near-perfect away performance.
The turning point in the match came when Palace's Tyrick Mitchell cleared Rasmus Hojlund's attempt off the line. Shortly thereafter, Joachim Andersen displayed his prowess by elegantly driving a first-time shot into the top corner following a free-kick, giving Palace the lead.
Manchester United intensified their offensive efforts but encountered difficulties breaching the resolute Palace defense. When they did manage to break through, they were met by the outstanding form of goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
In the second half, Johnstone made two pivotal saves to maintain Palace's lead. He first deflected Bruno Fernandes' dipping shot over the bar before denying Hojlund's powerful header.
Despite Manchester United's persistent pressure, the Palace goal managed to escape unscathed. Ultimately, the visitors secured a significant victory that propelled them into ninth place, while Manchester United dropped to 10th in the standings.
