Crystal Palace Crush Manchester United 4-0 in Premier League Upset

Crystal Palace stunned Manchester United with a resounding 4-0 victory at Selhurst Park, securing their first league double over the Red Devils in the process. The onslaught began early, with Michael Olise effortlessly gliding past United's defense to open the scoring after just 13 minutes. Jean-Philippe Mateta extended Palace's lead with a clinical finish, marking his sixth consecutive goal at home.

 

The domination continued in the second half as Tyrick Mitchell capitalized on Adam Wharton's precise delivery to tap in Palace's third goal in the 58th minute. The onslaught was completed when Olise capitalized on a mistake by Casemiro, unleashing a powerful strike past a helpless Andre Onana. Throughout the match, Palace displayed relentless intent, leaving United's defense in disarray.

 

United struggled to find their footing, with their defensive frailties glaringly exposed. Despite fielding their 14th center-back pairing of the season in Casemiro and Evans, United failed to contain Palace's attacking prowess. Eberechi Eze and Olise dictated the tempo of the game, exploiting spaces and causing constant trouble for United's backline.

 

Although United threatened sporadically, with Casemiro having goals disallowed, they were unable to mount a significant comeback, leaving them vulnerable ahead of their clash with title contenders Arsenal.
