Cristiano Ronaldo Scores a Long-Range Goal Helps Al Nassr Defeat Abha

On Saturday night, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal at Al Nassr's home field Mrsool Park in a 2-1 victory over Abha.
In an effort to keep up with Saudi Pro League leaders Al Ittihad, the visitors had an early goal disallowed for offside before seizing the lead in the 26th minute and putting Ronaldo's Al Nassr behind them.
As the clock was ticking down, the hosts were given a free kick from 35 yards out, and the former Manchester United striker hit one of his signature free shots that beat Abha goalkeeper Davis Epassy and brought Al Nassr even.
Al Nassr continued to put pressure on league leaders Al-Ittihad when Talisca scored his 14th goal of the season from the penalty spot in the 86th minute, joining Ronaldo in the celebration.
"This is mutual respect and we are one team and we act like a family," Talisca spoke through an interpreter to the Saudi Sports Company (SSC) TV.
"We all cooperate and the most important thing is the team. In the end, it's all for the benefit of the club. Whether it is me or any other player, the important thing is to score. It is certainly something special from Ronaldo."
Ronaldo had gone three games without scoring for his new team and had never done so for Al Nassr at home, but he made up for it on Tuesday after receiving a caution in a 3-1 King's Cup loss to Abha.
With 49 points, Al Nassr is in second place, one point behind league-leading Al Ittihad, who defeated their pursuers 1-0 in a league encounter last weekend.
