The Chairman of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia, Coach John Obuh, commended the players and officials for achieving their first away win of the season.
He also praised the technical crew, led by former Nigeria U-23 head coach Imama Amapakabo, for the team’s transformation.

Umu Chineke secured their first away victory last Saturday with a 1-0 win over Bendel Insurance at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, elevating the team to 5th position in the league standings.
The club chairman, who surprised the players and officials after their evening training session, applauded the team for their back-to-back victories. He also challenged them to maintain the momentum with collective determination, especially as they prepare for their Oriental derby against Heartland of Owerri this weekend in Umuahia.
A visibly pleased Coach Obuh also expressed his delight for the club's midfield maestro, Innocent Godwin, who received a call-up to the senior national team ahead of the African Nations Championship qualifiers against Ghana.
He voiced optimism that more players from the team will receive national team invitations in the future.
