Chukwuemeka trains with Chelsea's Pochettino

Despite recently representing England at the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina, Carney Chukwuemeka, the promising Nigerian-descended player, has wasted no time and has already reported for pre-season training at Chelsea, where he had the opportunity to train under the guidance of the club's new manager, Mauricio Pochettino, during an intense workout session at the prestigious Cobham training center on Tuesday morning. 

This training session served as a valuable opportunity for Chukwuemeka to showcase his skills and impress Pochettino and his coaching staff, as the Argentine tactician assesses the young midfielder's potential and decides whether to include him in the squad for the upcoming season or consider a loan move to further aid his development. 

Despite limited playing time in his debut season with Chelsea, Chukwuemeka, who is widely regarded as one of Europe's most promising teenage talents, is determined to seize this pre-season opportunity to catch Pochettino's attention and secure a spot in Chelsea's starting lineup for the forthcoming campaign, especially with the departure of several midfield rivals, leaving potential vacancies to be filled.
