Chris Bart-Williams, former Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest midfielder, passed away at 49

Former Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest midfielder, Chris Bart-Williams, has passed away at the age of 49 while in the United States, where he was working as a coach and mentor. Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest expressed deep sadness at his passing.
 
Bart-Williams began his career at Leyton Orient and later joined Sheffield Wednesday in 1991, making over 100 appearances for the club. He then moved to Nottingham Forest in 1995, where he played more than 200 games, helping the team win the old First Division title in 1997-98 and gain promotion to the Premier League.
 
Bart-Williams' death coincided with the passing of Trevor Francis, another former Nottingham Forest player and manager, on the same day. Francis had managed Bart-Williams during his time at Sheffield Wednesday and brought him on as a substitute in the 1993 FA Cup final. The two tragic losses have deeply affected their former clubs and the football community.
 
Former teammates and colleagues expressed their grief over the sudden and untimely deaths. Mark Bright, a former Sheffield Wednesday striker, remembered Bart-Williams as a wonderfully gifted player with a huge personality and charisma.

Kevin Pressman, a former Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper, also shared his sadness, as did Mark Crossley, a former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper.
 
The football world mourns the loss of both Trevor Francis and Chris Bart-Williams, and their contributions to the sport and their respective clubs will be remembered and cherished.
