Chelsea Will Look Back and Regret Firing Graham Potter
Posted : 16 April 2023
After the Blues' loss to Aston Villa, the highly criticized manager was fired, ending his unsuccessful career at Stamford Bridge.
Graham Potter receiving his direct orders from the Blues board on Sunday night was somewhat of a shock despite the loss, the supporters' displeasure, and their slide into the bottom half of the Premier League league.
Potter's position was safe, according to a briefing given to journalists earlier in the day. It seems to be a trick.
Even the Chelsea players were not made aware of Potter's termination in order to prevent word from reaching the media. Ironically, this clandestine media effort was one of the few times the Blues have handled an off-field matter skillfully since Todd Boehly took over the organization last year.
That is the solution to Potter's very catastrophic defeat at Stamford Bridge. He kept walking into situations where it was virtually difficult for any boss to succeed.
