Chelsea sell Morocco winger Hakim Ziyech to Galatasaray

The Moroccan international is now poised to undergo a medical examination with the Turkish Super Lig club.
At the age of 30, Ziyech has lost his place in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, and his previous potential transfers to Paris St-Germain and Saudi Pro League's Al Nassr have fallen through.
Since his arrival in 2020 for a fee of £33.3 million, Ziyech has participated in 107 matches for Chelsea across all competitions.
While he was part of the Chelsea squad that secured the Champions League title in 2021, the former Ajax player remained an unused substitute. Additionally, he played a crucial role for the Moroccan national team, contributing to their historic achievement as the first African team to reach the World Cup semi-finals at Qatar 2022.
Despite his notable contributions, Ziyech has gradually become a less prominent figure at Chelsea amidst significant investments in players, totaling approximately £900 million, following the takeover by American investor Todd Boehly and the Clearlake consortium in May 2022.
Ziyech's absence from Chelsea's pre-season tour of the USA earlier this summer and his omission from the matchday squad during their 1-1 draw against Liverpool over the weekend have further highlighted his diminishing involvement. He also did not receive a squad number for the upcoming Premier League season.
