Former Super Eagles Media Officer and ESPN pundit Colin Udoh sees Victor Osimhen as a valuable addition to Chelsea and prefers the striker to join the Blues over Manchester United.
Despite Osimhen's recent contract extension with Napoli until 2026, uncertainties about his future persist. Clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid have expressed interest in the reigning African Footballer of the Year.
Chelsea legends John Obi Mikel and Didier Drogba have actively encouraged Osimhen to prioritize a move to Stamford Bridge.
Udoh highlighted Chelsea's positive track record with Nigerian players, citing successful stints for Celestine Babayaro, Mikel, and Victor Moses at the club. He noted Chelsea's nurturing environment for Nigerian talent.
Expressing his reservations, Udoh stated that he wouldn't like to see Osimhen join Manchester United, emphasizing Chelsea's historically positive impact on Nigerian players.
If the transfer to Chelsea materializes, Osimhen could become the club's record signing, with a release clause set at a minimum of 120 million euros. Osimhen emerged as the Serie A's top scorer for the 2022-2023 season.
