Chelsea allays Australia's concerns over Sam Kerr's injury before the World Cup

After Sam Kerr, a striker for the Matildas, was substituted after 30 minutes of the London club's Women's Super League match on Sunday, Chelsea manager Emma Hayes took action to allay Australian concerns over Kerr's health ahead of the Women's World Cup.
Australia, which is co-hosting the event alongside New Zealand from July 20 to August 20, depends on Kerr to go far in the competition.
"Sam was sick last night," Hayes said after the 7-0 win over Everton that moved Chelsea into second place in the league.
"She decided to play but her calf was cramping up so we decided to take her out."
At the coronation of Britain's King Charles III in London on Saturday, Kerr, who scored Chelsea's second goal with a header before being substituted, carried the Australian flag in the parade into Westminster Abbey.
