The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the official dates for the 2024 Championship of African Nations qualifiers.
The president of the organization, Patrice Motsepe, announced that the qualifiers will take place in October 2024.

He added that the competition department of the organization has stated that the first round of the qualifiers will occur from November 25-27 and December 1-3.
The second round of the qualifiers will be played on December 20-22 and December 27-29.
Since the three hosts are already taking up three slots, an additional slot will be awarded to the other teams engaged from CECAFA.
Therefore, the total number of teams qualifying for the final tournament will be increased to 19 teams.
Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania will participate in the qualifiers, and they will qualify as hosts in addition to the team achieving the best result in the CECAFA qualifiers.
The final tournament will take place from February 1-28, 2025, in the three countries of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
