Cesc Fabregas Appointed Head Coach of Como Following Promotion to Serie A

Cesc Fabregas has been named the new head coach of Como, following his role as assistant and interim coach that led the club to Serie A promotion last season. The Spaniard, who concluded his playing career at Como in 2023, initially joined the club's coaching staff as an assistant before stepping in as interim head coach after Moreno Longo's dismissal.

 

During his tenure as interim coach, Fabregas guided Como from seventh to third place in Serie B, with the team securing automatic promotion by finishing second in the league. After December, when Osian Roberts took over as interim coach, Fabregas continued as his assistant, contributing to the team's successful season.

 

Roberts will now transition to the role of Como's head of development, as announced by the club. Fabregas expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, stating his excitement for the upcoming season and confidence in his coaching team’s readiness to face the challenges ahead.
