Rivers United brightened their chances of reaching the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup with a 3-2 away victory in Angola against APC Lobito.
The hosts, who are mathematically out of the competition, scored the opening goal from the penalty spot early in the game.
Ekrette Anthony equalized for Rivers in the 40th minute with a header before Alex Oyowah put the Nigerian side ahead from the spot just before halftime.
Farouk Mohammed made it 1-3 for the Pride of Rivers just after the resumption of the second half.
The hosts scored another goal in the 68th minute but found it difficult to level up the game as it ended 2-3 in favor of the Nigerian side.
