Nigeria's sole representatives in continental football, Rivers United, have qualified for the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup after defeating Ghanaian Dreams by two goals to one in Port Harcourt.
Rivers United, who needed to win by two replied goals, had to come from behind after Aziz had put the visitors ahead. Deputy Echeta restored parity for the hosts midway through the second half.
Kazie Enyinnaya’s late winner secured the qualification.
Rivers United finished second, having tied on points with Dreams FC, who have a superior goal difference.
