Nigeria's representatives to the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League Enyimba International FC on Sunday forced their host Al-Ahly Benghazi to a seven-goal thriller in the preliminary round first leg fixtures.
The People's Elephant despite losing the match 3-4 started off on a bright note with Joseph Atute strike against the Al-Ahly Benghazi's goalkeeper, but the ball rebounded to result in the first goal for the visitors through Chijioke Mbaoma.
Al-Ahly Benghazi got the equalisers in the 8th minute courtesy Taktak header.
The Finidi George-tutored team was later pegged back with two succession goals from the Libyan outfit, but drew level at 3-3 through Eze Ekwuto and Murphy Ndukwu.
However, the home team had the last laugh with a stoppage time goal to put the score at 4-3.
