Brighton New Manager Melissa Phillips, Eyes FA Cup and Women's Super League Challenge

Due to the short duration of Melissa Phillips' coaching assignment in the United States, she was unable to pack up her whole London apartment.
That's good news for the 35-year-old, too, since he now has the job of leading Brighton to their first Women's FA Cup final and then keeping them in the Women's Super League.
Following the firings of Hope Powell and Jens Scheuer and two temporary stints by Amy Merricks, Brighton this week named Phillips as their fourth manager of the year.
The Seagulls are hoping that their new American management can help them leave the WSL.
This is Phillips' third position of the year.
When Angel City called in January to offer her the position as assistant coach in her native California, she was already in charge of the Championship promotion contenders London City Lionesses, who were leading the league.
Her Lionesses' departure was made public only days before their FA Cup match against Tottenham in January.
But after a little more than three months and two games into the National Women's Soccer League season, Brighton made a move, and Phillips was unable to refuse.
"My heart was always in England," she said at her pre-match news conference for the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United on Saturday.
"Leaving at a time when my previous club was fighting at the top was tough, but I needed to progress my career by training world-class players.
"But my heart is here, Brighton share my ambitions to grow in the women's game. I never expected to spend so little time at Angel, but they understood me coming back.
"I was lucky that I hadn't shipped my stuff out yet, it's still in my flat in London."
