Brighton & Hove Albion has decided to recall winger Jeremy Sarmiento from his loan stint at West Bromwich Albion.
The 21-year-old, who had been loaned to the Championship side to regain form after recovering from a metatarsal fracture, impressed with 21 appearances and two goals.
Brighton's technical director, David Weir, stated that they will assess the next steps in Sarmiento's development upon his return.
Sarmiento, an Ecuadorian international, initially joined Brighton in 2021 and made his senior national team debut shortly afterward.
With 14 appearances in the Premier League for Brighton, including two starts, the 21-year-old winger adds depth to the squad as Brighton, currently eighth in the league, prepares for an upcoming clash against West Ham on Tuesday.
