Bright Osayi-Samuel, a product of the esteemed Blackpool academy, has garnered significant interest from English clubs in anticipation of the upcoming transfer window.
According to Turkish outlet Aspor, there have been recent developments regarding the future of the versatile fullback, who has expressed his desire to depart Fenerbahce at the conclusion of the season and return to England.
Fenerbahce, in response to Osayi-Samuel's wishes, is prepared to entertain offers for the Nigerian international.
The Istanbul-based club acquired him from Queens Park Rangers in January 2020 for a reported fee of approximately 0.5 million euros.
However, they now value him at an impressive ten million euros, highlighting his rise in prominence following a series of impressive performances for the Super Eagles.
The 25-year-old defender undeniably showcased his skills and talent during the Super Eagles' back-to-back 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Guinea-Bissau in March.
As a result, Osayi-Samuel's stock has soared, attracting the attention of several clubs eager to secure his services.
According to the report, Leeds United and Bournemouth, both of whom suffered relegation from the Premier League, are currently engaged in negotiations with Osayi-Samuel's representatives to facilitate a potential transfer.
While Osayi-Samuel possesses valuable Championship experience, having amassed a total of 109 appearances for Blackpool and Queens Park Rangers, he has yet to make his mark in the Premier League.
However, his time in Turkey has seen him participate in 98 official matches for Fenerbahce, contributing three goals and seven assists to the team's cause.
It is worth noting that Osayi-Samuel still has two years remaining on his contract with Fenerbahce, presenting an intriguing situation as clubs contemplate the possibility of acquiring the talented Nigerian defender.
As negotiations and discussions unfold, Osayi-Samuel will undoubtedly assess his options, considering factors such as playing time, potential development, and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the competitive landscape of English football.
