Bournemouth Break Transfer Record with Signing of Francisco Evanilson

Bournemouth have secured a record signing by acquiring striker Francisco Evanilson from Porto for a significant fee, as announced by the Premier League club on Friday. While the exact terms of the deal were not disclosed, British media reports indicate that Bournemouth has paid a club-record £40.2 million ($52 million) for the 24-year-old Brazilian.

 

Neill Blake, Bournemouth's chief executive, expressed excitement about the acquisition, highlighting Evanilson's status as a highly sought-after player. Blake emphasized that this record-breaking transfer underscores the club's ambition and determination to make a significant impact.

 

Evanilson will be taking over the No 9 jersey from Dominic Solanke, who recently transferred to Tottenham Hotspur for approximately £65 million. Bournemouth will kick off their Premier League season with a match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
