Boniface to join Bayer on long-term deal

Bayer Leverkusen, the German Bundesliga club, is on the verge of securing the signing of Victor Boniface, who had been previously linked with a potential move to Everton. 

Although there were initial reports connecting the Royale Union Saint-Gilloise attacker with a move to Goodison Park this summer, it seems that Leverkusen has emerged as the frontrunners.

Boniface has already reached a personal agreement with Bayer Leverkusen, but the deal is not yet fully finalized due to some minor details that still need to be sorted out. 

The two clubs have not agreed on a transfer fee despite reports suggesting it could be around twenty million euros, and discussions are ongoing regarding the length of the contract.

Nevertheless, Boniface has committed to joining Die Schwarzroten on a contract lasting four or five years, which would keep him at the club until at least June 30, 2027. 

The talented forward had a breakout season in 2022-2023, impressing with an impressive tally of thirty-four goal involvements, comprising 22 goals and 12 assists, in 55 appearances across all competitions.

Notably, Boniface made a mark against Bayer Leverkusen during the Europa League last season, scoring against them in the quarterfinals' first leg at the BayArena. 

This likely caught the attention of Leverkusen's scouts, further solidifying their interest in securing his services.

One of the key attributes that Boniface brings to the table is his versatility, as he can effectively play both as an out-and-out number 9 or as a winger on either flank. 

This adaptability makes him an enticing prospect for Bayer Leverkusen as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

With the potential signing of Victor Boniface, Bayer Leverkusen aims to add depth and dynamism to their squad, as they prepare to compete in various competitions in the upcoming season.
