Victor Boniface, the Nigerian striker, made his mark for Royale Union Saint Gilloise by scoring in their commanding 4-0 victory against RFC Liege in a pre-season match.
Boniface, returning to action after missing their first game, showcased his scoring prowess alongside his teammates.
Union took an early lead through Cameron Puertas in the opening minute, followed by Boniface finding the net in the 31st minute to extend their advantage.
Dennis Eckert Ayensa and Ross Sykes also added goals, sealing the comprehensive win for Royale Union SG.
In another pre-season encounter, Peter Olayinka, the Super Eagles forward, scored his maiden goal for Red Star Belgrade in their triumph over Fenerbahce, a team featuring Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Both Nigerian players started the match, and Olayinka wasted no time making an impact. Within seconds of the game's start, he received a well-placed pass in the box and calmly slotted the ball into the net.
Fenerbahce struggled defensively and conceded once again in the 39th minute, this time by Mirko Ivanic.
While Osayi-Samuel showed glimpses of his abilities, his contributions were limited during his 87 minutes on the pitch.
Fenerbahce managed to pull one back through Joao Pedro, but Vladimir Lucic scored for Red Star Belgrade, resulting in a 3-1 final score in their favor.
