Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen ranks second among valuable Nigerian players after Osimhen
Posted : 19 October 2023
Bayer Leverkusen's forward, Victor Boniface, has risen to become the second-most valuable Nigerian player, with his market valuation increasing significantly from 12 million euros to 40 million euros, trailing only behind Napoli's star striker Victor Osimhen, valued at 120 million euros.
This remarkable increase in his value ranks him as the third most valuable player in Bayer Leverkusen, 18th in the Bundesliga, 19th among center forwards, and 139th globally.
Boniface's impressive rise is attributed to his outstanding performance, having been the top scorer in the UEFA Europa League last season and making an immediate impact in the Bundesliga with 9 goal involvements in his first seven appearances.
With Osimhen dealing with a hamstring injury, Boniface may play a pivotal role when the Super Eagles face Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
