Blackburn Rovers decide on Anglo-Nigerian defender

Blackburn Rovers, a team in the Championship, has reached a decision regarding the future of Anglo-Nigerian defender Tayo Edun.
Manager Jon Dahl Tomasson has confirmed that Edun, who previously represented England at the youth level, will be allowed to depart from Ewood Park during the summer transfer window.
Edun joined Blackburn Rovers from Lincoln City in the summer of 2021 but had a limited role last season, making only one start in the Championship.
If he were to remain at Blackburn Rovers for the upcoming season, it is unlikely that his playing time would significantly increase.
During Blackburn Rovers' pre-season opener, a goalless draw against Accrington Stanley, Edun was not included in the matchday squad.
As a sign of his impending departure, his squad number seven has been allocated to new summer signing Arnor Sigurdsson, who arrived from CSKA Moscow.
"He's not involved, and he's one of the players who will be going away," stated Jon Dahl Tomasson in an interview with LancsLive. He further added, "At the moment, he doesn't have that option. I think we will see a lot of movement in the next weeks in that way."
Edun began his career at Fulham, where he spent his formative years, before making a permanent move to Lincoln City in 2020.
