Jasper, born in London to a Nigerian father and a Bulgarian mother, holds eligibility for three national teams. Although he is provisionally tied to Bulgaria, having played for them in a European U21 Championship qualifier in 2021, he previously earned caps with England's U15 and U16 squads.
At 22 years old, Jasper spent eleven years with Fulham before seeking new opportunities. He is currently a free agent after ending his contract with Portuguese club Portimonense last month by mutual agreement.
Football Insider reports that Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers are pursuing Jasper, who is available on a free transfer. In addition to these English clubs, Dutch Eredivisie side NAC Breda is also keeping an eye on him.
Jasper has prior experience in the Football League, having made eighteen appearances in League Two during a loan stint at Colchester United in the 2021-2022 season. The following season, he played six matches in League One while on loan at Bristol Rovers.
During the latter part of the 2021-2022 season, Jasper was loaned to Scottish team Hibernian, where he featured in sixteen games.
In his initial season with Portimonense, Jasper was a regular starter but lost his place in the team towards the end of the campaign.
