Real Madrid faced BK Hacken in Sweden for their UEFA Women's Champions League clash, ending empty-handed as the Swedish side rallied from a goal down to secure a 2-1 victory. Despite Real's early lead on Thursday evening, a second-half fightback by Hacken turned the tide. Hacken now boasts two wins from two matches, while Real has earned only one point from two games in the competition. The Swedish side, BK Hacken, came from behind to stun Real Madrid 2-1 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Following a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Chelsea in their competition opener, the Spanish side traveled to Sweden with the aim of making a statement. They took an early lead through Signe Bruun but saw Hacken score twice in the second half for the win. Bruun opened the scoring on nine minutes by reacting quickly to turn the ball home after Hacken goalkeeper Jennifer Miley Falk had pushed a shot from Ivana Andres onto the post.
Hacken pressed forward in the second half, drawing level just before the hour when Rosa Kafaji lashed home from the edge of the box. Real's defense became disorganized, allowing Katariina Kosola space on the edge of the area. She cut inside on her left foot before curling a glorious effort into the top corner on 76 minutes.
After defeating Paris FC to open the campaign, Hacken now has six points from two games, five clear of Real. Bayern Munich secured their first win in Group C with a battling 1-0 success at Paris Saint-Germain. After drawing 2-2 with Roma, Bayern headed to the French capital and earned all three points.
PSG dominated possession but couldn't find a way to score, undone by one strike from the German side on 21 minutes. Glodis Viggosdottir rose high to meet Klara Buehl’s lofted free-kick, nodding it back across goal for her central-defensive partner Magdalena Eriksson to bundle home from close range.
The win takes Bayern to four points from two games, while PSG remains without a point.
