Beth Mead left Out in England Women's World Cup squad

As she has not fully recovered from an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Beth Mead, who led all scorers at Euro 2022, is not selected for England's Women's World Cup team.
The 27-year-old Arsenal attacker was in serious concern since he hasn't played since November.
With 12 goals in her previous 12 Women's Super League contests, Tottenham striker Beth England, who hasn't played since last summer, is selected.
Millie Bright, a centre defender for Chelsea who has been sidelined since March with a knee injury, was included in the 23-person roster.
"She's so positive and going well but the timescale she had we would have taken so many risks to get to the World Cup," said Wiegman.
"I'm not willing to take that risk to push her too much and she gets injured again. We need to take care of players."
Bright will lead the squad as captain in place of injured defender Leah Williamson, according to England head coach Sarina Wiegman.
Fran Kirby, a midfielder, had previously been ruled out due to injury, while Barcelona's Lucy Bronze, a defender, is still participating after undergoing knee surgery in April.
Wiegman said that she had never considered the possibility that Mead may recover in time for the competition in Australia and New Zealand.
