Best Talents defender, Gift Okeke idolizes German Rudiger

Best Talent FC central defender, Gift Okeke, has attributed his great football artistry in the ongoing Mega Scouting programme at the University of Ibadan Sports Complex to closely monitoring Real Madrid and German defender Anthony Rudiger.


The no-nonsense defender stated this in an interview shortly after defeating their counterpart, Jaguar FC.


The hard-tackling defender, Okeke, was mostly adjudged as the best marksman for his sharp vision, aerial ability, and ball distribution throughout the games.


The 19-year-old defensive midfielder turned central defender has been described as a dependable utility player who pushes his teammates beyond their limits.


Gift, relating his role model and his dream club in Europe, disclosed that Club Brugge in Belgium is his dream club while Anthony Rudiger has played a huge role in his career prospects.


"I think joining Best Talent FC is a step in the right direction for my career, and I have learned a great deal playing here.


"My dream club in the next few years in Europe is Club Brugge in Belgium, and I believe the Almighty God will make it come to fruition.


"The aggressiveness and precision in aerial balls that a lot of people talk about me here are a result of my close monitoring of Anthony Rudiger right from his days at Chelsea and now with Real Madrid.


"I watch him play a lot, and it's really helping my career," the soft-spoken prodigy enthusiastically submitted.
