Besiktas makes initial offer for Super Eagles prospect

Besiktas, the prominent Turkish club, has taken an important initial step in their pursuit of Nigerian forward David Okereke, who has attracted interest from various Italian clubs.
According to Tutto Cagliari, Besiktas has made the first move by submitting a bid for Okereke. The proposal involves a loan arrangement with an option to purchase the player for €4 million.
However, it is worth noting that Cremonese, Okereke's current club, may prefer an outright sale rather than a loan deal for the 24-year-old forward.
Okereke joined Cremonese from Club Brugge last summer and managed to find the back of the net seven times in Serie A, despite his team's unfortunate relegation to the second division.
While Okereke may initially lean towards remaining in Italy and seeking another opportunity in the top flight, the prospect of joining Besiktas could be enticing.
Besiktas achieved a commendable third-place finish in the Turkish league last season and is set to compete in the upcoming Europa Conference League.
Earlier reports also indicated that Cagliari and Bologna are among the clubs vying for Okereke's signature, further adding to the intrigue surrounding the potential destination for the talented forward.
