2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 27: Bendel Insurance targets further resurgence against troubled Bayelsa United FC

After making a giant leap from the basement of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table to eighth position, the Technical Adviser of Bendel Insurance FC, Greg Ikhenoba, is now seeking more wins and points against Bayelsa United FC.


The Benin Arsenals have traveled to Bayelsa State to confront the troubled Prosperity Boys for the 2024/2025 NPFL Matchday 27 at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.


Recall that the current Technical Adviser of the Benin Arsenals, Greg Ikhenoba, took over the reins of the team from the sacked coach Monday Odigie when they were in a precarious situation, rooted in the 17th spot on the NPFL table.


However, Ikhenoba, who was formerly Odigie's assistant, was able to turn things around. Now, the Benin Arsenals sit in eighth position on the NPFL table. Bendel Insurance FC have lost just two of their last 14 games since Greg Ikhenoba took over from longtime manager Monday Odigie.


He has led them on a resurgence, climbing from the bottom of the log to eighth place.


For Bayelsa United FC, things have been rough as they currently sit in 16th position with 30 points from 26 matches.
