2023/2024 NPFL: Bayelsa United FC's hitman, Mizo emerges player of the month

Bayelsa United forward, Robert Mizo, expresses his happiness at being voted the winner of the NPFL League Bloggers award for the months of September/October.

Mizo has been in phenomenal form for Bayelsa United since the start of the season, scoring seven goals in six matches.

The forward, hailing from Imiringi in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, received the prestigious NPFL award for the first time this season, with the latest goal coming yesterday against Heartland FC.

Mizo secured the award ahead of his closest contender, Sikiru Alimi of Remo Stars, Michael Olalusi of Sunshine Stars, and Sporting of Lagos striker Jonathan Alukwu.

An elated Mizo expressed his humility in being voted as the League Bloggers Player of the Month for the first time, stating that the award is a testament to continuous hard work.

While expressing gratitude to the Almighty God for the award, he thanked his teammates, coaching staff, the management of Bayelsa United, and the club's supporters for their unwavering support.

He dedicated the award to his father, Mr. Aroanyaziba Robert, who celebrated his birthday on the same day he was announced as the winner of the League Bloggers award.
