2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 26: Battle between Rangers International FC and Sunshine Stars lights up Cathedral

Defending champions Rangers International will be looking to pile more misery on Sunshine Stars, as the Akure Gunners seem to have lost their early-season spark.


The Flying Antelopes had their momentum halted after a narrow 1-0 away loss to Abia Warriors, a side that had previously stunned runaway league leaders Remo Stars with a 2-1 victory.


Rangers will now aim to claim another Southwestern scalp as they push for a continental spot, if not the league title, which their coach has admitted is likely heading to Ikenne.


As for their opponents, the Owena Whales will be hoping for a miracle to secure all three points at the famous Cathedral—a feat that could lift them out of the relegation zone, at least for another week.
