Barcelona 1- 2 Real Sociedad: Real Sociedad win to boost Champions League qualification

Real Sociedad increased their chances of qualifying for the Champions League when Barcelona lost their first game after winning La Liga.
 
In the fifth minute, Sociedad struck when Mikel Merino finished from close range after being set up by Alexander Sorloth.
 
In the 72nd minute, Sorloth scored a second goal to give the visitors a well-earned two-goal advantage.
 
In stoppage time, Robert Lewandowski scored to give the champions a chance to even the score.
 
Barcelona defeated their local rivals Espanyol on the road last weekend, securing their first La Liga championship since 2018–19 with four games remaining.
 
After their encounter with Sociedad at the Nou Camp on Saturday, they raised the La Liga trophy in front of their home fans.
 
With the victory, fourth-placed Sociedad regained their five-point lead over fifth-place Villarreal.
