KA'AH FC has emerged as champions of the first edition of the Waziri Cup, defeating Limited FC 2-1 in a thrilling final encounter.

Kehinde Abdullahi opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a great finish, putting KA'AH FC in front.
Limited FC woke up from their slumber and rose to challenge, searching for the equalizer, but it wasn't to be, as the first half ended with KA'AH FC still in the lead.
Limited FC came back stronger in the second half, showing more confidence and purpose in front of goal.
A few minutes into the restart, Akaje Ridwan restored parity for Limited FC with a beautiful strike.
The intensity of the game increased as both teams pressed hard in search of a winner.
KA'AH FC did not take their foot off the pedal and continued to search for more goals.
Their efforts paid off when Baki Akeem's late strike secured the winning goal, and KA'AH FC emerged as the champions of the Waziri Cup 2024.
The champions went home with a cash prize of three hundred thousand naira (N300,000), while Limited FC received two hundred thousand naira (N200,000) for their efforts as runners-up.
KA'AH FC, who were the most organized team, were voted as the best team of the tournament.
Olowo Shefiullahi Ayodeji of KA'AH FC won the highest goal scorer award, having scored seven goals in the tournament.
Meanwhile, a brand new set of jerseys, earlier promised by the Director of Football of Abubakar Bukola Saraki Ilorin Football Club (ABS FC), High Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka Nwachigoziri 1, was handed to KA'AH FC during the well-attended closing ceremony.
The eight-day, five-a-side football tournament was organized by Kwara Youths to honor and celebrate the 62nd birthday of the Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin and the President of the 8th Senate and former Governor of Kwara State, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki CON, who was also present to witness the thrilling encounter.
In his remarks, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki urged the youths to be good ambassadors of themselves.
He congratulated KA'AH FC for emerging as champions and praised Limited FC for showing the spirit of sportsmanship despite the defeat.
Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki also commended the organizers of the tournament, Engr. Olaiya Abisola Kabirat KK Events, for organizing it in his honor, praising her for coming up with such a great initiative.
The Waziri of Ilorin reiterated his commitment to using sports as a tool for youth empowerment and grassroots development.
Top dignitaries from all parts of the state attended the final.
