Italian club Atalanta is actively considering the addition of Emmanuel Dennis from Nottingham Forest to bolster their attacking options.
The 1997-born Nigerian striker is seen as a potential perfect fit for Gian Piero Gasperini's squad.
Emmanuel Dennis has displayed promising potential and has drawn comparisons to his fellow Nigerian compatriot, Ademola Lookman, who had a successful season at Atalanta, registering 15 goals and eight assists in 33 appearances across Serie A and the Italian Cup.
Having previously played for English clubs Watford and Nottingham Forest, Dennis has accumulated valuable experience with 62 appearances, scoring 12 goals, and providing nine assists.
However, his last season with Nottingham Forest witnessed a dip in form, managing only two goals and three assists in 25 games, signaling the need for a fresh start and new challenges.
As a result of his less impressive performance, transfer rumors have surrounded Dennis, linking him to potential moves away from Nottingham Forest, including speculation about interest from Leeds United and clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Despite the rumors, Dennis has displayed loyalty to his current team, Nottingham Forest.
Yet, Atalanta remains committed to securing the services of the Nigerian striker, believing that their squad and system will provide him with the best opportunity to regain his top form and make a significant impact in Gasperini's offensive lineup.
The club sees Dennis as a valuable asset who can potentially contribute significantly to their attacking prowess and further strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
